What are wisdom teeth?
In a normal set of adult teeth, there are a total of 32 teeth, consisting of 16 on the top and 16 on the bottom jawbone.
Four out of the thirty-two teeth are considered wisdom teeth because they usually erupt between the age 17-21, considered
by some, the years that you gain wisdom. Each wisdom tooth is located behind each 2nd molar, and are also known as your
3rd molars. It is common for an adult to have less than four wisdom teeth.
